Orlando Insurance and Personal Injury Attorney
Matthew S. Aungst, Esq., is a native of Vermont who relocated to Central Florida as a child. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Finance from University of Central Florida (UCF), Matt graduated from Florida State University (FSU) with his Juris Doctorate (JD) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
While in law school Matt clerked for both the Attorney General’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office. He is also a former Assistant State Attorney. After working as in-house counsel for several corporations in Tallahassee Matt went into private practice representing individuals accused of matters from traffic tickets to serious felonies. He specialized in DUI defense, even having several victories in the trial and appellate courts published.
At Hale, Hale and Jacobson, P.A., Mr. Aungst focuses on litigating insurance claims on behalf of medical professionals in cases where insurance coverage is in dispute. He works closely with medical providers to ensure that their bills on behalf of the injured do not go unpaid or denied. Matt accomplishes this through time spent in the courtroom arguing motions and attending hearings. He also spends significant time performing depositions of representatives for insurance companies who have denied payment for medical services.
